Objective:
Website Redesign & Development (Squarespace 7.1): The Serve Ethiopians Washington (SEW) website was redesigned to better reflect its mission of environmental sustainability, community engagement, and volunteerism. The new site highlights SEW’s work in environmental stewardship, forestry, restoration, and environmental justice, while also showcasing key service areas, including youth development, workforce programs, senior initiatives, and basic needs support for families. These enhancements are aimed at driving donations, increasing volunteer participation, and strengthening community engagement.
Key design objectives included:
Enhanced Environmental Focus: Large, impactful images of SEW’s team in action, particularly in sustainability projects, reinforce the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Strategic Content Approach: Concise, clear messaging emphasizes SEW’s impact in sustainability and volunteerism. Key service areas are highlighted on the Home Page and What We Do pages, allowing visitors to quickly grasp the organization’s mission and reach.
Optimized Calls to Action: Prominent CTAs encourage visitors to donate and volunteer, supported by compelling images and clear messaging to drive engagement.
Refined Partners Section: Improved the Partners section by maintaining consistent logo sizing on the Home Page and creating a dedicated Partners Page to recognize and link to SEW’s partner organizations—boosting both credibility and SEO.
